STEPCHANGE DEVELOPMENT has been established to allow work related practical exposure and training opportunities through Internship and Learnership programs to the unemployed youth with the aim of creating employment.

Stepchange Development staff members have the ability to assess economic trends and train candidates to make themselves as marketable as possible is unparalleled.  
The staff members of the company have been involved extensively in the development and facilitation of both SETA accredited and non-accredited training workshops throughout both the public and private sectors since 1985. 

In order to take South Africa forward and make our Country Globally competitive, our youth require extensive skills and training, particularly in the media, information, communication and technology sectors.

  • Stepchange will facilitate internship programs, whereby individuals will be selected and put through a series of high impact capacity development interventions, followed by placement into a wide range of large and small businesses so as to gain exposure and understanding into business needs and operations.
  • Through this training and job-shadowing, the interns will have a significant advantage over other prospective candidates when seeking employment, or possibly even embarking on creating their own new business ventures.

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • Stepchange have the in-house facilities to run these internships effectively.  
  • The training centre in Sandton has two 100m2 training rooms equipped with all the current training technologies required.  
  • There is a state of the computer centre as well as a common room for social Interaction.  
  • This facility will cater for all the capacity building training needs as well as serve as the administration hub. 

 

 PRACTICAL WORK EXPOSURE

  • Stepchange has a network of over 220 large and small businesses with which we engage daily in terms of staff development and other business development services.  
  • Stepchange will leverage on these relationships in order to place interns into real businesses to gain experience and understanding into all areas of operations.
  • Our aim will be to rotate the interns through various businesses so as to maximize their experience.

 FUTURE EMPLOYMENT

  • Stepchange’s ultimate aim is to grow the interns into valuable young individuals, possessing knowledge and practical skills that the economy is in need of in order to continue upward growth.
  • We will endeavor to ensure all interns gain successful employment upon completion of their internship program.

Through gaining knowledge, experience and skills in day-to-day practical work related activities the interns will become valuable young assets to future employees and will be able to enter a structured career path with confidence.
